The book I mentioned earlier is “The Elements: A Visual Exploration of Every Known Atom in the Universe” by Theodore Gray.
This sort of hilarious book trailer is something everyone should watch. There’s a goofy song and this really great quote that gets down to exactly why I really love chemistry:
“Elements are everywhere. They are what ‘where’ is.”
Go get yourselves this witty and fascinating book. You won’t regret it.
Nice

This table set melds precision mathematics with the appearance of organic form. When put together, the 6 unique components form a simple rectangular low table. When separated, the odd shapes of the components are evident and they can be used as end tables, benches, or sculptural objects. We developed the forms as a 3-dimensional Voronoi tessellation, an algorithm that permits endless formal variations.
Congolese entrepreneur Verone Mankou wants his tech startup VMK to be for Africa what Apple is for the U.S. and Samsung is for Asia. That is, he wants the majority of people on the continent to use the African-designed smartphone and tablet he is making.
VMK makes a tablet called Way-C, which means “the light of the stars,” and now a smartphone called Elikia, which means “hope.”
